A bit of explanation about Masquerade (since I don't usually highlight the hentai discounts): it's by Masaki Kajishima (one of the creators of Tenchi Muyo). Specifically, he's the OVA-only creator who seems to get a little too involved in his world-building: given a remit for a fanservicey or hentai show, he tends to come back with a script referencing at least several centuries of backstory. In fact, the longer he's allowed to fiddle with an idea, the further back he goes (the Tenchi backstory currently goes back at least a few billion years...)
In any case, while I wouldn't actually recommend Masquerade for most folks (it is a hentai show after all), it's kind of interesting to see that Kajishima can't even do porn without a history stretching back 700 years. It seems he knows his market, though - Masquerade hit a stopping point after its initial run of 4 episodes, but was apparently popular enough to be continued for another 5 episodes IIRC (though under the original Japanese title "Go Senzo San E"...I think that means something like "To My Revered Ancestors").

It looks like ADV is getting rid of individual discs for a lot of series in favor of Thinpak-only releases (previously, I'd thought it was only happening for C titles). Considering that some of these shows were only released in the last 3 years or so (at least, that's about the timeframe I recall for when the club watched Azumanga, Abenobashi, Noir, and Rahxephon), this is a pretty extensive change. I suspect that this is part of an effort to minimize inventory on hand due to the recent crunch in the anime market. Still, it's surprising to see how even the most popular shows can be effected by this:
We are down to only 30 copies of ADV's Evangelion Platinum thin-pak box this week, and after we tried to order more copies found out that ADV is out of stock on them. ADV, in general, has not done a good job keeping their new thin-paks repressed, and we find that it's becoming common to see them go out of stock in Houston for weeks at a time (which is why we try to keep so much extra stock of them on hand!). I think this will be the trend in 2006 as the studios try to save money and keep inventories to a minimum. - from the Anime Corner Store newsletter
Blue Seed Perfect Collection DVD Set (Hyb)
It looks like ADV only has discs 2-4 of Blue Seed for sale. I don't know if that's a matter of not having the other volumes in stock, or if ADV's just going to let the license expire (considering the age of the series, and what seems to have happened with Dragon Half and Nadesico, I'm guessing that Blue Seed is going away).
